What is refuge?
Teaching by Acharya Choying Gyurmey
Saturday, June 13, 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
By taking Refuge, we commit to opening up our hearts and minds by accepting the Buddha as our teacher, the Dharma as our path and the Sangha as our guides and companions on the path. These are the three Jewels of the Refuge. More than a ritual, Refuge is an encouragement to expand our intention, in formal Practice as well as in daily life to experience our own Buddha nature; and to strengthen loving kindness and compassion for oneself and others. Following in the footsteps of the Buddha, we can ultimately recognize our innate awakened state of mind for the benefit of all beings.
You can download the texts for these practices from the Centre’s web site: Downloads

Wednesday at 7 p.m. – FACEBOOK LIVE
As the embodiment of all the Buddhas’ compassion, love and wisdom, Chenrezik is the inspiration and guide for us to recognize our innate qualities of loving kindness and altruism. By doing the Chenrezik Practice, the goal is to develop the capacity to benefit all beings, as well as ourselves, especially relevant in times of challenges and difficulties.
led by Michel Roussel, a long-time student and umze (chanting master) at Rigpe Dorje Centre.
