Dharma Book Club<\/b><\/h3>\n

We are delving into the book Excellent at the Beginning<\/i><\/b> by Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche.<\/p>\n

The first theme to be investigated will be Connecting with the Buddhist Teachings<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Participants will be invited to share their understanding, questions and experience related to the text. A facilitator will provide a dynamic approach to the discussions. Acharya Choying Gyurmey will engage in the dialogue and answer questions. He will end each session with a short presentation of the topic through the Vajrayana perspective.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of the participatory nature of the Book Club, the sessions will be held in person at the Centre. They will not be shared on Zoom.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tea and coffee will be available.<\/p>\n

Donations are appreciated.<\/p>\n

Copies of the book in English are available at the Rigpe Dorje Centre ($25 members\/$28 non-members). We will provide a French translation of the key sections of the text.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche<\/b> (1924\u20132019) was born in Tibet, where he was fully trained in retreat practice, ritual, and philosophical studies. In 1976, Rinpoche was sent to the United States by His Holiness the 16th Gyalwang Karmapa to establish Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD) Monastery in Woodstock, New York, as the main Western seat of the Karma Kagyu tradition. Since then, Rinpoche has touched the lives of thousands of people with his extensive teaching activity, his extraordinary compassion and his living embodiment of the awakened qualities of an authentic lama. <\/em><\/p>\n
