E. 4<\/b><b><sup>th<\/sup><\/b><b>\u00a0Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche\u2019s Birthday Celebration<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Though Rinpoche\u2019s actual birthday is on November 26, please join us for a celebration on <b>Sunday, November 24<\/b>, <b>from 10\u00a0a.m. to noon<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Celebration:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We will offer a Mandala, representing our Body, Speech and Mind, as well as khatas to the throne of H. E. the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Traditional yellow rice and tea will be offered to all; we will then ceremoniously cut the birthday cake. The celebration will end with the Lamp Offering prayers.<\/p>\n<p>By donation<\/p>\n<p><strong>Collection of food for local food banks.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In accordance with the expressed wishes of His Eminence Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, we are engaging in a community action project in commemoration of his birthday.<\/p>\n<p>We are collecting food to give to food banks in our neighbourhood.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please bring nonperishable food to the Centre up till November 24.<\/li>\n<li>On November 24, you may bring fresh fruits or vegetables that do not need to be refrigerated for 24 to 48 hours.<\/li>\n<li>We will deliver your donations of food on Monday, November 25. <i>They will be distributed<\/i> to people are in need on that same day.<\/li>\n<li>If you wish to participate in this campaign but are unable to come to the Centre, we can accept your financial contribution.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We dedicate our gifts of food to H.E. the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche\u2019s long life and the flourishing of his activity. May all beings benefit!
