Full Moon Day\u2014Chotrul D\u00fcchen<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ch<\/strong>o<\/strong>trul D\u00fcchen\u00a0<\/strong>is on the fifteenth day of the first month in the\u00a0Tibetan calendar<\/a>\u00a0during the full moon.\u00a0The first fifteen days of the year celebrate the fifteen days during which the Buddha displayed miracles for his disciples to increase their devotion. During Chotrul D\u00fcchen (\u201cGreat Day of Miraculous Manifestations\u201d), it is believed that the effects of both positive and negative actions are multiplied.<\/p>\n

On this auspicious day, Acharya will bestow the Refuge Vow on those who request it.<\/p>\n

We will then recite the\u00a0Treasury of Blessings Sadhana,\u00a0<\/strong>a simple and beautiful make a\u00a0Lamp Offering<\/strong>\u00a0with the aspiration that obstacles to personal and global peace may be overcome, and that happiness, love, and compassion may spread throughout the world, benefiting all beings.<\/p>\n
