Vasubandu’s Thirty Verses
Teaching by His Holiness the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Ogyen Trinley Dorje online

Vasubandu’s Thirty Verses, a brief poetic treatise by the Indian Buddhist monk Vasubhandu, presents how the different levels of consciousness evolve out of the storehouse consciousness (ālaya-vijñāna) and how afflictions, arising in consciousness like ocean waves, are brought to an end through meditation. Vasubhandu’s analysis aims to prepare one for meditational insight.

We will replace our scheduled program in order to share these teachings by Zoom on Saturday February 5, so that our sangha can come together to receive these precious teachings from His Holiness.

Please join us via Zoom at 8 a.m. Montréal time

Tonglen: Exchanging Oneself with Others
Guru Vajradhara His Holiness Chamgon Kenting Tai Situpa

Saturday, February 26 at 9 a.m.

The Buddha’s teachings contain powerful methods for transforming our everyday confusion into wisdom awakening. One such practice is Tonglen, or “sending and receiving.” By developing love and compassion for ourselves and others, we gain insight into our own suffering and learn ways to engage our compassion to bring healing and goodness into our minds and lives. Guru Vajradhara Tai Situpa will teach us this simple but powerful technique to transform suffering into understanding and increase our capacity to experience a mind of love.

Zoom Teaching in English with French, Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, and Vietnamese language translation available.

Zoom instructions to be sent to registrants via email.

KTD’s suggested donation levels for this teaching: $15, $30, $50 or $100 US dollars by Stripe or by PayPal.

Chenrezig, embodying the supreme compassion and loving kindness of all the Buddhas, manifests through activities of bodhicitta. Even just the pure force of the mantra in this Practice can benefit all sentient beings, especially important in these degenerate times of greed, desire, fear and negativity. The world is facing difficult times and with this retreat we aspire to generate greater awareness of the interconnectedness among all sentient beings, as well as with nature. Acharya will guide participants in the visualization and ritual of this Practice. Q & A will be included.
