H. E. 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche’s Birthday Celebration
Though Rinpoche’s actual birthday is on November 26, please join us for a celebration on Sunday, November 24, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Celebration:
We will offer a Mandala, representing our Body, Speech and Mind, as well as khatas to the throne of H. E. the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche.
Traditional yellow rice and tea will be offered to all; we will then ceremoniously cut the birthday cake. The celebration will end with the Lamp Offering prayers.

Collection of food for local food banks.
In accordance with the expressed wishes of His Eminence Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, we are engaging in a community action project in commemoration of his birthday.
We are collecting food to give to food banks in our neighbourhood.
- Please bring nonperishable food to the Centre up till November 24.
- On November 24, you may bring fresh fruits or vegetables that do not need to be refrigerated for 24 to 48 hours.
- We will deliver your donations of food on Monday, November 25. They will be distributed to people are in need on that same day.
- If you wish to participate in this campaign but are unable to come to the Centre, we can accept your financial contribution.
We dedicate our gifts of food to H.E. the 4th Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche’s long life and the flourishing of his activity. May all beings benefit! We also hold the aspiration that Rinpoche will one day come and visit us at our Rigpe Dorje Centre in Montreal, founded by his predecessor, the 3rd Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche.
