Day camp for youth, ages 6 to 15

Monday, August 5 to Friday, August 9, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This August, Rigpe Dorje Center will be hosting its 2nd summer Day Camp for Youth. Join us again for another fun-filled, meaningful and unforgettable children’s summer day camp experience!

Last year’s camp was a success and we’re thrilled to invite you back for another fun-filled, meaningful and unforgettable experience.

Our children’s summer day camp is a unique opportunity for kids to learn about buddhism, cultivate mindfulness, develop loving kindness and compassion in a supportive and playful environment where kids will have the opportunity to play, unwind, make new friends, and create lifelong memories.

Through engaging in activities such as meditation, dharma discussions, yoga, arts & crafts, cooking, indoor / outdoor games and swimming, campers will explore humans values such as kindness, empathy, and self-awareness.

Our teachers and sincere volunteers will guide your child on an unforgettable adventure of discovery, growth, and friendship. Let’s nurture young minds and hearts together!

The camp will be under the supervision of Acharya Choying Gyurme, Echo Li and Chenlin Ding.

Please note: 

  • We ask that all children arrive on time.
  • Centre will provide some snacks. However parents or guardians should provide lunch and one snack. All food brought to the centre must be NUT FREE and vegetarian.
  • Children should be respectful at all times, in their words and actions, to camp staff and other children.

Required information:

  • Name and age of your child or children
  • Swimming skill and comfort level of your child in the water:
    – Excellent swimmer
    – Must wear life jacket – if so, please provide one
    – Uncomfortable in a pool
  • Anything else we should know about your child

Fee (members / Non-members):

$60 / $75 per child
$100 / $130 for 2 children from the same family
$150 / $200 for 3 children from the same family
