Ananda Sangh’s 36th Free Remote Outreach Cataract Program
June 12–16, 2025
Individuals with cataracts were detected during eye examinations conducted at 21 rural locations in the Kathmandu Valley, as well as at Pullahari Monastery. A total of 6,296 people with diminished vision were screened. Among them, 402 who were found with cataracts underwent surgery and intraocular implants at Pullahari Monastery.
The team of 4 ophthalmic surgeons was led by The Eminent Dr. Sanduk Ruit of Tilganga Eye Centre, Bagmati Province, Nepal.
